New Exhibition Nov 2024 - Jan 2025, Aldershot, UK

Hampshire/Surrey border area exhibition

You can see two of my pieces featured in the latest exhibition at the West End Centre, Aldershot.

These pieces were conceived intuitively with no specific outcome, using only mark making. It is amazing what comes forth when you just keep making marks.

They are part of a series I call 'Beautiful Blue'.

Featured Cover Artist

Guildford institute Autumn 2024 Brochure

Sarah is the featured cover artist for the Guildford Institute Autumn brochure. Her art will also feature across their print and online presence this autumn, and she will be teaching at the Institute throughout August and  into the autumn.

This piece is called 'Summer's Fall' and depicts the way that summer gives way to autumn at that specific time of the year.

The 100 Series

A work in progress....

Sarah has been working on a new series of 100 works on paper in acrylic. The original thought behind this series, which was conceived in May 2024, is of colour meditations that capture the creative spark and process throughout the artist's moods and nature's seasons.

Often artists hide away in their studio safely creating sketchbook work, this series aims to remove that construct and deliver the artist raw and unreahearsed to the exhibition space. The seasons can affect the artist's mood and motivation to create, as well as the inspiration to create. As an artist that is very much 'solar powered' Sarah wanted to show the push and pull of the process in a temporal way. That way she is always creating and working toward something bigger and not 'creating and then closing a sketchbook'.
